Size Matters:Reclaiming The Word FAT

wpid-fatbutton.jpg

I’m fat, and I am not ashamed to say that. Not curvy, not thick, but fat. It took me a long time to be OK with that word, but I am happy to say that not only am I OK with the word, I fully embrace it. Fat has always been considered the other F word, a word that no woman would want to be called. However, over the years, many women of size including myself, have been able to turn the word fat from something to be ashamed about to something to celebrate.

So today I proudly say that I am FAT and I am happy about that.

Until next time,

Sharon
